Abstract
The thesis reframes material reuse (recycling, upcycling etc) as a neovernacular practice in furniture design, adding a layer of resourcefulness derived from the limits presented by found materials. This enables practitioners to see material reuse not only as a necessity for sustainable design but also an opportunity to challenge a designers practice by setting operational, material, and conceptual limits.
